Over the past few days, I have spent over ten hours detail sanding floors. This is a project that becomes pretty monotonous and doesn't require much concentration. Consequently, I've had a chance to do a lot of thinking. Among these thoughts, it occurred to me that our experiences would be worthy of a DIY Network show. Well, until DIY Network realizes they should be following us around with a camera crew, I guess I will have to document these adventures myself. The result: this blog.
My boyfriend John and I have been involved in real estate investment since 2008, when John purchased his first home. For the sake of this blog, I will refer to it as PW and this is where we currently live. We have completed one successful flip - this is the Julia house - and are currently in the middle of our next project, which is, believe it or not, the Julian house. In my next few posts I will provide a bit more information about each of these projects. Neither of us has advanced training in construction or design, but we do have an incredibly handy friend, passion for renovation, creativity, and many hours of HGTV & DIY Network shows guiding our way!
